My great grandmother Andrea Amundsdatter

Andrea Amundsdatter was born on March 28th 1860 at Gaustad Farm in Hoilandet, Melhus.
She was baptized on June 24th 1860 in Bynesset Church.
Her parents were Amund Jonsen Langorgen (1815-1866) and Gjertrud Fredrikke Nielsen (1821-1874).
Her father died when she was six, and when she was nine her mother remarried. Her new stepfather was Einar Einarsen Skarsvaag b. 1806, and she moved with her mother and brother John b. 1862 to Froya.

Andrea married Christian Christiansen Bekken b. August 12th 1860 on May 13th 1884 in Sletta Church.

Christian's parents were Christian Lorentsen Bekken (1813-1884) and Ane Oline Pedersdatter (1820-1897).

Andrea and Christian had the following children:
Alvhilde Konstanse b. 1885 was married to Adolf  Marius Andreassen Baatvik b. 1884. Three children.

Jensine Sofie b. 1889 was married to Hans Berntinus Hansen Hammernes b. 1887. Two children.

Laura Julie b. 1891 drowned in 1912.

Agnethe Charlotte b. 1894 was married to Ole Johansen Sordal b. 1889. Four children.

Johan Petter b. 1896 was married to Wilhelmine H. Indgul b. 1897. Three children.

Olga Fredrikke b. 1898 d. 1919

Anna Kristine b. 1901 was married to Ottar Meyer Hammernes b. 1899. Four children.

I have no further information  on John Jonassen.

Alvhilde Konstanse first had a child with Kristen Gunneriussen Hammervik:

Alvhilde Konstanse then married Adolf  Marius Andreassen Baatvik b. 1884 on December 28th 1910.
They had the following children:

Jenny Pauline married Lars Merk Larsson Meisingset b. 1905. They had four children.

Asbjorn Marius first had a son with Signe.

Asbjorn Marius then married Petra Lindseth b. 1910. They had an adopted son.

Laura Sofie married Arvid Simon Sætre b. 1911. They had four children.

Jensine Sofie b. 1889 was married to Hans Berntinus Hansen Hammernes b. 1887 on November 21st 1912 in Sletta Church. They had two children:
Kaare Hammernes b. 1913 married Anna b. 1912. They had one son.
Asbjorg Hammernes b. 1916 married Halvor Fjelnseth b. 1916. They had two children.

Laura Julie b. 1891 d. 1912.

Agnethe Charlotte b. 1894 was married to Ole Johansen Sordal b. 1889 in 1917.

Anna Kristine b. 1901 married Ottar Meyer Hammernes b. 1899 in 1923.

                     married Gunvor Hogstad b. 1939. Two children.
Hans Kristian 1933-2007 married Perly Borg b. 1938. They had three children.
Anne Lise married Hallvard Rolv Mølmen b. 1936. They had one daughter.

The Emigrants...

Three of Andrea's siblings emigrated to the United States of America.

Marit Amundsdatter was born on Bynesset February 6th in 1854. She was baptized in Bynesset Church March 26th 1854. Marit's parents were Amund Jonsen Langorgen and Gjertrud Megaard.
June 29th 1871 she married Christen Olsen Rostum in Bynesset Church. Christen was born in 1808 and died in 1883.

They had the following children:

Ole b. 1873 married Inga Nelson b. 1882. They had four children.
Randi b. 1875 married Martin Hereim b. 1866 in Norway. They had five children.
Serina b. 1878 married Ole Eggen b. 1879 in Bynesset. They had eight children.
Anders b. 1880 married Agnes Sivertsdatter Mule b. 1886 in MT. They had seven children.
Marit b. 1882 married Olaf Olsen Rostad b. 1874 in Bynesset. They had three children.

Marit emigrated with her two youngest children, Anders and Marit on May 6th 1885 with the steamer Hero to Montana. Ole and Randi followed on  April 27th in 1892 on the ship Domino. And the last one, Serina on June 8th 1898 on the steamer Tasso.
Marit married Patrick Kavanaugh b. 1852 in Canada in 1896 at the Grande Ranch in Lennep, MT
Marit died in 1922 and Patrick in 1924.

Ole married Inga Nelson on September 5th 1901, and they had the following children:
Clifford Eugene Olsen b. 1907 was married to Geraldine and they had one child.
Norma Olsen b. 1909 was married to Leonard H. Kelly.
Orrie C. Olsen b. 1920
Martin Olsen b. 1922 was married to Marvel Fossen and they had one child.
Ole died in 1945 and Inga died in 1959.

Randi married Martin Hereim on October 26th 1897, and they had the following children:
Elida C. Hereim b. 1899 d. 1919
Joseph b. 1900
Christen b. 1902
Mabel b. 1904 married John W. Lucas b. 1900 and they had three children.
Clarence b. 1906 was married to Irma Dunham and Pauline Gibson and had three children.

Serina married Ole Eggen on February 8th in 1899, and they had the following children:
Charles b. 1901 d. 1959
Oscar B. b. 1902 married Fay W. b. 1909. They had two children.
Bertha b. 1904
Mina b. 1905
Sigurd O.  b. 1906 d. 1986
Cora b. 1912 d. 1922

Serina died in 1937.

Marit married Olaf Olsen Rostad on December 4th 1902, and they had the following children:
Orville b. 1903 married Pearl Blevins b. 1905 on July 7th 1927. They had two children.
Mabel b. 1905 married Daniel P Rosted. They had three children.
Carl b. 1907 d. 1979 married Helen Lepley.

Marit died in 1956 and Olaf died in 1952.

Karen Amundsdatter was born in Bynesset on January 20th in 1856. She was baptized in Bynesset Church on March 16th in 1856. Karen emigrated from Bynesset to Montana with the steamer Tasso on March 18th 1880. She married Martin T. Grande, b.1844 in Verran, Norway, on November 15th 1880 in Helena, MT.
Karen And Martin had no children, but adopted her sister Marit's son Anders b. 1880. They also adopted another relative, Mina Andersdatter Berg b. 1889 in Montana.

Karen and Martin's children:
Anders Christensen Grande b. 1880 married Agnes Sivertsdatter Mule b. 1886 in MT on October 9th 1907. They had seven children:
Martin T. Grande b. 1908 married Lucille Harriet Vanhorn b. 1917 in Canada. They had four children.
Inez Regina Grande b. 1911 d. 1914
Andreas Crest Grande b. 1913 married Joyce Claire McVey. They had three children.
Karen Alberta Grande b. 1915 married George Andrew Voldseth b. 1913. They had five children.
Richard Sayre Grande b. 1917 married Halgran Maxine Jordet b. 1920.
Paul Victor Grande b. 1919 married Eleanor L. Jordet b. 1918. They had two children.
Mildred Kristina Grande b. 1921 married John Levasseur b. 1913. They had one daughter.

Mina Andersdatter Berg Grande b. 1889 married Nels Edvardsen Voldseth, b. 1887 in Verran, Norway, on November 15th 1911 in Lennep, MT. They had three children:
George Andrew b. 1913 marrien Karen Aberta Grande b. 1915. They had five children.
Norman Miles b. 1917 married Loise June Temple b. 1918.
Edvard Victor b. 1922 married Elizabeth Settle b. 1922. They had four children

Karen died in 1914.

John Amundsen Langorgen was born in Gaustad, Hoilandet on January 5th 1862. He was baptized in Bynesset Church on April 6th 1862.
John emigrated to Big Timber, Montana on the steamer Argo April 3rd 1889. I have not been able to find John in the US. It is possible that he used the name John Anderson, I found that name on the back side of his picture.
